Common Achievements (87-97%)

First Blood (96.9%)

First BloodKill your first doppelganger customer. This achievement is nearly unavoidable — any doppelganger kill counts, whether you execute a suspected customer at the counter or eliminate a monster during a hunt phase. Most players earn this within their first few shifts.

Still Breathing (93.7%)

Still BreathingSurvive your first hunt phase. When a missed doppelganger returns as a monster, the game enters a hunt phase where you must board up doors, set traps, and hide. Simply surviving this first encounter unlocks the achievement. Most players experience this by shift 4-6.

Silenced (89.6%)

SilencedKill a Shrieking Doll. The Shrieking Doll is one of the most common monster types in Shift At Midnight, appearing as early as shifts 4-6. Use a firearm to eliminate it from range, or finish it with a bat at close range after dodging its jump attack.

Medium-Rarity Achievements (33-75%)

Freed (79.5%)

FreedKill a Demented. Demented enemies are slower, shambling-type monsters that appear during hunt phases. They appear less frequently than Shrieking Dolls, so this achievement may require playing through multiple shifts before encountering one. Standard weapons work well against them — the pistol is sufficient.

Relentless (45.1%)

RelentlessFinish a hunt within 30 seconds. This is the first skill-based achievement in Shift At Midnight. When a hunt phase begins, you must either survive until the timer ends or eliminate all monsters within 30 seconds. To earn this, prepare bear traps and weapons before engaging, and if playing co-op, coordinate with teammates to end the hunt quickly.

Last Performance (41.0%)

Last PerformanceKill a Marionette. The Marionette is a medium-rarity enemy with a string-and-puppet visual theme. It appears in later shifts (7+) or under specific conditions. Its lower appearance rate makes this a mid-game achievement for most players.

Rare Achievements (6-25%)

Grave Decision (32.5%)

Grave DecisionComplete the Grave Decision ending. This ending-achievement requires making specific choices during your playthrough. Based on speedrunner data, the Grave Decision ending can be reached in approximately 34 minutes and involves a critical choice — likely regarding Clyde or the Pet. This is the baseline ending and the easiest ending achievement to unlock.

Locked And Loaded (23.3%)

Locked And LoadedPurchase every melee weapon and fill out the weapons arsenal. The Chainsaw is now part of that checklist, so buying the other melee weapons alone will not unlock Locked And Loaded. Accumulate enough earnings across your playthroughs to purchase the full melee lineup, complete employer tasks for bonus cash, and prioritize weapon purchases between shifts.

True Ending (15.8%)

True EndingComplete the True Ending where both Clyde and the Pet survive. This requires careful management across all 13 shifts. The Pet must never die, and Clyde must survive as well. On later shifts (7+), the Pet becomes increasingly vulnerable during hunt phases. Prioritize protecting the Pet over store management in the final shifts.

Empty Home (9.9%)

Empty HomeThe rarest achievement in Shift At Midnight with only 9.9% unlock rate. The achievement description is not fully documented. It may be tied to the secret ending documented by the YouTube community, or may require completing a specific difficult condition such as finishing the True Ending without certain upgrades or meeting hidden parameters. As more players document this achievement, exact conditions will become clearer.

Achievement Hunting Guide

Based on community walkthroughs, here is the recommended achievement hunting order:

1st — Call ClydeNatural play, first endingFirst Blood, Still Breathing, Silenced, Freed, Grave Decision, (possibly Last Performance, Relentless)
2nd — Don't Call ClydeDifferent ending route, hunt remaining monstersLast Performance (if missed), Relentless (if missed)
